(Austin, Texas) – As interest in the online video space continues to increase, Austin video startup latakoo (www.latakoo.com) has closed out seed funding just before its appearance at the Techcrunch “Disrupt San Francisco” event. latakoo, which offers a unique, single click utility for sending large HD/SD video files using limited bandwidth, has also begun signing up national television broadcasting groups.

latakoo is used as an online software-as-a-service utility to shrink large video files to as little as one percent of their original size without loss of perceptible quality. The files can then be managed inside an elegant web interface, where users can share, tag, collaborate, and download video in popular formats for broadcast or editing. Videos can be sent almost as easily and fast as email.
