The New York Times & latakoo CTO Ben Werdmuller

When the New York Times wanted to report on the implications of the recent design changes at Facebook, they called latakoo CTO Ben Werdmuller. At latakoo, we consider him an expert at so many things — tech and otherwise. But latakoo CTO Ben Werdmuller is a highly sought after social media strategist. That’s how latakoo’s, Paul Adrian and Jade Kurian first connected with Ben. He was the speaker at a forum on building a user centered web at Harvard’s Hauser Center, called “The Internet is People.” Paul and Jade were in the audience and blown away with Ben’s insight.

Ben co-founded Elgg, the world’s leading open source social networking platform. Now Ben and his team at latakoo are busy building out the broadest social media network for video. We suggest the New York Times do a story on how difficult it is to upload quality video to Facebook. Carlos Laurel, Joe Pelayo, and Marcus Povey are working with Ben on a new latakoo feature that would allow users to upload video once to latakoo, then push out to a number of platforms, including Facebook.

latakoo makes video simple — and social — thanks to Ben and his team.
